Overview
Riam Institute of Technology was set up in 1997 as a non-profit, private college in Malaysia; with the support from Sarawak State Government and Sarawak Chinese Chamber of Commerce. On 2 August 2013, it officially obtained Institusi Pengajian Tinggi Swasta (IPTS) status and became a private institution of higher learning. It is managed by the Board of Directors of Riam Educational Sdn Bhd.

The RIAMTEC on campus hostel with 3 storeys are available with three varieties that students may choose from:
Type A: Single (with attached bathroom)
Type B: Single (with shared bathroom)
Type C: Twin sharing (with shared bathroom)
