These universities can be categorize to 3 sections; historical university, university that founded after world war 2, and the new universities changed title to University by 1990s. 1) NVQ (National Vocational Qualification) & GNVQ (General National Vocational Qualification), serve as more practical courses.
-In Scotland, NVQ and GNVQ is called as SVQ and GSVQ.
2) HND (Higher National Diploma), is a two years specific major certificate courses which includes scientific research, technology and business.
