These universities can be categorize to 3 sections; historical university, university that founded after world war 2, and the new universities changed title to University by 1990s. Historical University possess adequate study resources for their students and new universities still maintain focusing on hands-on practice of study.
  • Apart from the Bachelor’s Degree level, UK University also provide various professional certificate courses.
    1) NVQ (National Vocational Qualification) & GNVQ (General National Vocational Qualification), serve as more practical courses.
-GNVQ equal to A-Level study, hence, it can be act as pathway to university Bachelor’s Degree level.
-In Scotland, NVQ and GNVQ is called as SVQ and GSVQ.
2) HND (Higher National Diploma), is a two years specific major certificate courses which includes scientific research, technology and business.
-HND Graduates can enter Bachelor’s Degree year 3 level, and complete in one year.
